THE SWIFTY SHOW 2009
One of the true British graphic originators of our time, Swifty has been hugely influential in music and youth culture since he started out in the late 1980’s. Fresh from art school he landed a job at legendary THE FACE magazine. Over the past fifteen years he has worked for ARENA, been the art director of Straight No Chaser magazine and founded the company Swifty Typographix.
Between 1990’s, his output reached a whole new level producing a diverse volume of distinctive record sleeves for seminal record labels such as Mo’ Wax, Talkin’ Loud and Source 360 including the labels iconic brand logos.
Since then, he has ventured into the realm of art which merges his now-iconic graphic styles with mixed media executions. For the first time ever, he will be exhibiting his work outside the UK in Melbourne, Australia (5th - 15th March 2009)
As an additional special touch to his shows, Swifty will interpret the graphics of local iconic brands in limited edition prints which can be purchase exclusively at the shows. This is definitely an event for all lovers of old and new school alike!
